Momento helps track cognitive performance over time and enhances well-being and engagement by using AI-powered reminiscence therapy. It allows families to share meaningful photos, helps caregivers conduct engaging activities, and the analytics dashboard provides insights into cognitive health trends.
That's why we have created the "Lite-mode" in which a caregiver can create an install a simple one screen app on the loved one's device. The lite mode only shows the quizzes, puzzles and albums that you send or generated by AI. There is only need to set the account up once and it uses a biometric face detection for future logins.
Yes! Momento is designed to be simple and intuitive. Families and caregivers can quickly create activities with AI-generated prompts and access resident engagement reports without needing technical skills.
Yes, but Momento is a more fun and natural way to measure your cognitive abilities rather than being tested in a doctors office. We have run a small pilot study with doctors and the result was that Momento AI photo quizzes could correctly predict mild cognitive impairment with an F1Score of 0.80 and AUC of 0.85. We are working towards completion of a large clinical study with our research partners in the next 1-2 years.
We keep adding more, so it's best to just play and see what you find. For example, with the AI you can create short videos for quiz questions, and edit photos such as turning a sunny day into a rainy one. You can also add stickers and enhance photos, create photo collages with a full editor and share or save the collages to your device.
To create a quiz, you need to click on the "+" button. In the new screen, select the "Create quiz manually" option. After that, it will be possible to specify the name of the quiz, description and visibility (private or public). After selecting the quiz image (cover image), it is necessary to add a question to the quiz ("Add question" button). In the new screen, it will be possible to specify the type of question (image or text). To choose the correct answer option, you need to use the "Correct answer" button. It is possible to specify several correct answer options. To save the quiz, you need to select the users for whom it will be available. This step can be skipped in the case of a public quiz.
Use our AI-powered grouping system to quickly organize your photos by category, place, moment, or people—whichever best suits your needs. Category-based grouping prioritizes what's in each image, place-based grouping sorts photos by location, and moment-based grouping organizes them by date. If you choose to group by people, our AI recognizes who appears in each photo, making it effortless to find and revisit memories. These smart groupings not only streamline quiz creation but also provide deeper insights into your gallery. Best of all, your data stays private, since everything is stored locally on your device.
Momento's proprietary algorithm calculates memory recall scores from photographs by leveraging advanced image analysis techniques, cognitive science principles, and machine learning models. It extracts features from photos, analyzes emotional content, and considers user interaction history and contextual relevance, such as significant events and social interactions. By combining these elements, the algorithm predicts the likelihood of a photo being remembered, continuously learning and improving its accuracy based on user behavior and feedback. We have benchmarked our scores against standard assessments such as MoCA and MMSE and are currently pursuing a large clinical trial.
Yes! Momento is designed to be simple and intuitive. AI does most of the work! Caregivers can quickly create activities with AI-generated prompts and access intuitive cognitive and engagement dashboards.
When creating an automated quiz, an algorithm is used to read user data from the gallery and send metadata about the images in the gallery for processing. In this case, all image are stored on user’s device, processing is performed only with data about the location, date and image labels. The user will receive a notification after the completion of processing and creation of the quiz.
You can search users by their email or by importing your contacts and sending connection requests to them. It is possible to create circles and invite your connections in circles. This way, you will be able to assign quizzes to target groups.
It is currently free while we collect user feedback and polish the user interface and fix bugs. Later we are considering introduce a subscription plan for access to some features like the analytics dashboards, and for high usage.
Momento works on desktops, tablets, and smartphones, but since photos are the core of the Momento app it's best used on larger screens like iPads. It You can also access Momento via a web browser at https://www.momento.quest/app and no download is required.
When any user assigns a quiz to you or takes a quiz that you have created, you will be presented with an entry on activity tab.
When creating quiz, press on assign button. You will be presented with a screen which will contain list of your connections and circles. If you send the quiz to a circle, it will be sent to every user in the respective circle.
When you select “Generate hair color quiz”, a quiz will be automatically created, the data for which is read from the user's gallery. It is possible to grant access to all files in the gallery, or only to a part of the files. 4 photos containing people are selected (the number of photos can be changed in the settings). Each photo is uploaded for processing in an encrypted format. During processing, the hair color of the person in the photo changes, 3 photos with different hair colors are generated, and a question is created. The photo is not stored in the cloud in any form, everything is stored on the user's device for data privacy. The user will receive a notification after the completion of processing and creation of the quiz.
